Im back, number 2!

September 17, 2007

Haha, it makes me laugh how I made this announcement ages ago but never stuck to it, I bet I’m doing the same here. Anyway, I’m back for now! 😀

The rain starts to fall as the sky dims to blue, new radio broadcasts of War are all true. Unexpected excitement of boys that are young, who can’t sleep on the thought that It has begun. New measures of safety, they call it “blackout”, where only the wardens and cats are about. Signs are removed and great confusion pursues, as propaganda stories are read in news.

“We need YOU!” they plead and “sign up now, today!”, “I will fight for my country”, thats what they say. Gathered outside, it’s for recruitment, they wait, young boys, from school, secretly to young, debate.

I am in the process of writing more, this is just a snippet. It’s like a story poem I think.

Freebording

May 22, 2007

Take a look at this video, it’s a board with wheels between the trucks that spin 360 degrees. This enables you to spin your board with easy, it is designed to act like a snowboard but for concrete hills. The feeling and riding of the freebord feels like snowboarding. You can carve like you do with snow and stop almost instantly from any speed. I wouldn’t recommend this to people who have never skated or snowboarded, and for skaters who thinks it will be the same, dont even try. Apparently it’s an enormous learning curve to got from the skateboard to the freebord (yes, that is how it’s spelt).

Anyway, I would like to say I am getting one of these for my birthday in a few months, I will post my progress on the blog and post videos for you to watch as I get better. Please take a moment to look at this video, these guys are professionals, very very cool!

May 17, 2007

After about 5 months of being generally busy and lazy and forgetting about the blog, I am back! For good! I am going to make a good effort to post at least a few posts once a week! I am so excited again, I love it when you find inspiration to do something again, dont you?

This is my favourite song of all time, one of the most amazing live performances I have ever seen and one of the best live bands in the world at the moment, take your time to watch the whole video!

Are we being watched?

December 5, 2006

Everywhere we go, every high street we walk down, we are being watched, people are watching every camera, CCTV is taking over the Uk and the world, In fact the UK alone has over 20% of CCTV camera’s in the world. This makes UK the most watched nation in the world. In the UK there is one CCTV camera for every 12 people, that makes over 5 million camera’s. surv_cams1.jpgThere are many good and bad outcomes of being watched, I am only mentioning two, one is that by being watched crimes have dropped by up to 60% since 1995, also many more murders or attacks have been brought to justice. Knowing you are being watched comforts some people, on the other hand people are saying that government are deciding to use the surveillance to their ability. The government said shoppers may watched and scanned as they enter stores, school students could bring in cards allowing parents to monitor what their children eat. cctv_van1.jpgThese camera’s in the street all can be rotated with a joystick, by turning the joystick a man could see a murder or an attack happen, if this part of the street wasn’t being watched then nothing would be done towards the murder. Also some camera’s now even have infrared and sound detection, there is no hiding! Camera’s catch you around 300 times if you spend a whole day walking around central London, also they can read number plates and scan your face into a database. Do you want to get falsely accused of a crime and your face come up on the computer, neither do I, what do you think?

They are the best live band in the World at the moment and to see them in a stadium so big and so amazing would be the best thing ever! 84_muse_l041206_01.jpgTickets go on sale from Saturday 9th December at 9am GMT! Memories of Home

December 3, 2006

Memories of Home

I look down towards the ground,
Damp and wet all around,
Mud and blood stain my boots,
Left there by a new recruit.

Tears fill my eyes,
I try to disguise,
My memories from home.

Running towards the front line,
Aches and pains all combine,
Heart beats fast and lungs inflate,
I know I’m in a bad state.

Thick, dark smoke covers my sight,
Yellow gas, I scream with fright,
Down I fall to my knee’s,
Not now, not me, don’t please!

I feel pain now,
Not much more I can allow,
My memories from home.

Breathing is hard, I feel faint,
In and out of consciousness,
German voices coming near,
Closer and closer, they appear.

Standing right there,
In front, they stare,
My memories from home.

This is the end, no doubt,
A man moves, HALT they shout,
They shoot, blood comes from his head
No saving him now, he’s dead.

I close my eyes,
And wait to die
My memories from home.
